It is one of the native and special species of Hyrcanian forests, which is named after the German botanist “Parrotia”. Parrotia persica has hardwood and is also called an iron tree, its roots and leaves have medicinal properties. The young leaves of the Parrotia persica tree are reddish-purple and turn dark green in summer, and finally in autumn with more than 15 bright spectra in different colors: bright yellow, orange, burnt orange, bright red, pure red, become dark red and has a special beauty.
In the old days, it was customary for a boy and a girl to love each other but their families would not allow them to get married. On a foggy day were lost in the forest and after return, their family was agreed with their marriage. when the fog is more intense in autumn and hence it is called the season of love. It is said that Parrotia persica is a symbol of a girl in love.
